What is going on?
The University failed to let students know what their plans were for the Biblical Studies Department.
There was supposed to be a vote on the future of the department at a university senate meeting on wednesday 7th October. The Students found out about this through the Students Union on tuesday 6th October.
The Students protested and wrote to the university, and the decision has been postponed.
Decisions made by the university have already been implemented before the now failed decision date.
The Students Union education officer has said something is 'drastically wrong' and that the University did not consult the students, as was alleged by the review group at the university. She also commented that many University Staff did not know about the proposals and were 'appalled' by the lack of consultation.
